THE FRIENDS OF LETCHWORTH STATE PARK is a non-profit group incorporated in June 2000, by the State of New York with a mission to support the preservation, conservation and careful development of Letchworth State Park by
- Offering services and activities reflective of and consistent with the history and nature of the park
- Supporting and assisting in offering educational and recreational programs
- Raising funds for equipment, supplies and projects to support the park
- Promoting and supporting Letchworth State Park for the benefit of the park, the public and posterity

The Friends of Letchworth State Park work closely with the Park Managers and staff in pursuing this mission. Already a TRAIL GUIDE to the park has been published, and other brochures are planned. Possible future projects include developing a newsletter, helping in restoration work on historic buildings, designing new exhibits for the W.P.L. Museum and many others. Whatever your interests, skills and talents, the Friends of Letchworth State Park need YOU.
